News

The AGM in August was well attended and thanks should go to Dairycrest for the use of their facilities and the fine refreshments served to all who came.

As a result of the meeting the committee has now grown to 20 and the word is spreading through the parish that the project is gathering momentum.

Some of you may have noticed that the pump house and water tank at the rear of the church hall have been reomoved and Dairycrest are in the process of levelling the area which will, it is hoped, provide additional car parking spaces for both the hall and the church.

Work on the building will not start until details of the lease are settled but this is well under way and progress will be reported here as soon as it is available.

The committee is keen to hear from anyone who may have an interest in using the hall on any level, either as an individual or as goup or organisation so we can plan accordingly for user's requirements.
Anyone wanting to contact the committee should do so through our new secretary, Jean Lyons whose details are shown below.
Alternatively, all our meetings are open to the public and you are welcome to attend at any time - details below.

Davidstow Village Hall Committee voted unanimously at the meeting on February10th to obtain and refurbish the old Davidstow Church Hall as a new village hall for the community.

Please refer to the minutes for more information.

Anyone who has any inerest or ideas is invited to contact the village hall or come along to any of the meetings as shown below.

WHAT IS DAVIDSTOW VILLAGE HALL COMMITTEE?

The 'Davidstow Village Hall Committee' is a name given to the Managing Trustees of the Davidstow
Village Hall Charity No:300535. It is the sole job of the Committee to manage the charity in a way that fulfils the function of the Charity and conforms to the rules and guidelines that apply to all Charities in this country.
The name 'Managing Trustees' should not be confused with 'Custodian Trustee' who is there solely to hold property in trust on behalf of the Charity. The Custodian trustee for this charity is Davidstow Parish Council.
The 'Custodian Trustee' plays no part in the management of the charity or the village hall.
