It has now been9 months since the Davidstow
website was launched.
Response has been good and the number of visitors has now passed
3500. The daily average is increasing all the time.
Consequently we have now updated the site to contain more information
based on specific interests of past and current visitors both
local and distant, and more links to relevant sources of further
information.
We have also received a number of enquiries from neighbouring
parishes and so have now included a 'Parish Links' section on
the Homepage. Visitors can now easily
see what happens in the nearby parishes and explore their websites
to see what they have to offer.
The site also has a new look and now includes a Shops
and Businesses Directory which all local traders are invited
to be listed in. This is entirely free and provides each advertiser
with a feature page outlining their business and the work they
do.
There is also now a search facility and you can
even get the weather forecast, live,
daily.
The Gallery page is
currently being compiled and we are keen to gather as much pictorial
information on the area as possible Photographs or other images
that anyone can offer will be welcomed.
In fact any information at all, on any subject
will be an asset to the site and space will made accordingly for
anything received.
All local organisations are invited to communicate
via a custom built page which will be built on their behalf, free
of charge and can be updated whenever required. In the case of
any organisations who do not have an existing website this could
be an ideal way of keeping members and visitors in touch with
meetings, events etc.
In addition we welcome any ideas that will help
us add to and improve the website which is currently the only
central place for information on Davidstow and surrounding areas.

on a volunteer basis at no cost to the community.
